How It Works

Peony uses a carbon crystal heating element to produce infrared radiation that travels directly to people and objects within the effective heating zone. Rather than relying solely on convection to warm the air, infrared energy heats surfaces and occupants directly. These heated surfaces then transfer thermal energy to the surrounding air, helping create balanced indoor warmth.

Smart Heating & Lighting

The supplied RF wireless thermostat acts as both the temperature sensor and control interface for the Peony heater. Set your desired temperature between 5°C and 50°C and the heater will automatically activate when the room temperature falls below the target, then stop once the target temperature is reached.

The thermostat also provides weekly scheduling, allowing up to four independently configurable heating periods per day. The integrated LED light can be controlled separately from the heating function, with warm white, cool white and off settings, plus nine brightness levels.

For additional convenience, the integrated Wi-Fi module allows the heater to be controlled and programmed through the Smart Life or Tuya Smart smartphone app. App functions include remote on/off control, temperature adjustment, weekly scheduling, countdown timer, ECO mode and LED lighting control.

Design & Installation

Peony is designed specifically for ceiling installation, with the heating panel facing downward toward the heated space. Its slim 600 × 600 × 20mm profile provides a discreet installation while combining heating and lighting in a single unit.

The heater must be installed at a minimum height of 1800mm above finished floor level, with the edge of the heating panel positioned at least 200mm from walls or fixed obstructions. The recommended installation height for effective infrared output is approximately 2.2–2.6m.

All electrical installation and connection work must be carried out by a qualified electrician. The Peony is intended for fixed wiring and requires an appropriate disconnection device and protective earth connection. For bathroom and toilet installations, the panel must be installed outside Splash Zone 0 and connected to a dedicated RCD-protected circuit.

Care & Maintenance

Peony requires minimal maintenance. Always disconnect the heater from the mains supply and allow it to cool fully before cleaning. Wipe the panel and frame with a soft, non-abrasive, damp cloth. Do not use abrasive powders, metal polish, chlorine-based cleaners or solvent-based cleaning products.

The mounting brackets, fixings, supply cable and connections should also be periodically inspected to ensure they remain secure and in good condition.

Warranty

The Peony ceiling heater panel is supplied with a 2-year warranty from the date of purchase, subject to the manufacturer's warranty terms and conditions. The warranty covers manufacturing defects accepted by the authorised warranty centre.

Warranty coverage may be affected by incorrect installation, use of non-approved mounting hardware, unauthorised modifications or repairs, incorrect electrical connection, mechanical damage or failure to follow the installation and operating instructions.
